We are excited to welcome Karel Lopez Vilaret, a visiting PhD student from Pablo de Olavide University in Seville, Spain. Karel will be working in the fNIM lab this summer as he develops a new research project examining age differences in neural selectivity. Welcome Karel!
Congratulations to Sabina Srokova, a graduate student of the fNIM Lab, for defending her dissertation: The relationship between age, cognitive performance, and the neural correlates of episodic memory encoding and retrieval.
Nehal Shahanawaz, a former undergraduate student at the fNIM lab, successfully completed his undergraduate studies and we are very excited to see him continue his work with us as our new Research Assistant! Amber, Sabina, and Dr. Rugg attended the 3rd Workshop on Research Definitions for Reserve and Resilience in Cognitive Aging & Dementia. The workshop was held from October 31-November 1, 2021 in Bethesda, MD.
